Portable Power Station Specification Checklist for Wholesale Buyers

Use this portable power station specification checklist to compare battery capacity, inverter output, ports, charging, weight and documentation before a bulk order.

A portable power station quotation can look complete while still leaving out information that matters after the product reaches the market. Capacity is only one part of the decision. Wholesale buyers also need to confirm the exact model, inverter output, output interfaces, charging limits, physical dimensions, operating conditions and documentation for the destination country.
This checklist uses the fields shown in LinkPower's supplied 1kWh, 2kWh and 4kWh LiFePO4 product pages as a practical framework for evaluating a bulk purchase.

1. Confirm the Exact Model Identity

Start with the complete model code, not a marketing label such as "1kWh power station."
The supplied catalog distinguishes:
  • ESS-500W-1000Wh
  • ESS-1000W-2000Wh
  • ESS-1800W-4000Wh
The model code helps bind the quotation, specification, product images, labeling and compliance documents to the same product. If the model on a test report, carton or manual does not match the commercial quotation, stop and reconcile the difference before ordering.

2. Separate Battery Capacity from Inverter Output

Battery capacity and inverter output describe different limits.
  • Battery capacity is the amount of stored energy, measured in watt-hours.
  • Continuous inverter output is the AC power the system is designed to provide continuously.
In the supplied catalog, the three products list 1004.8Wh, 2009.6Wh and 4019.2Wh of stored energy. Their continuous inverter ratings are 500W, 1000W and 1800W respectively.
A higher-capacity battery is not automatically suitable for every appliance. Buyers should compare the expected continuous load and any starting requirement with the current approved inverter specification.

3. Review Battery Chemistry and Cycle Conditions

The three catalog models use LiFePO4 battery chemistry. The catalog lists more than 6,000 cycles for the range, while the 1kWh page specifies the cycle statement at greater than 80% depth of discharge.
When comparing cycle-life claims, ask for the conditions behind the number:
  • Depth of discharge
  • Temperature
  • Charge and discharge rate
  • End-of-life capacity threshold
  • Test method or report reference
Do not compare cycle numbers from different suppliers as if they were identical unless the test conditions are also comparable.

4. Check Every Output Interface

Port quantity matters when the product must power several devices.
The 1kWh model lists AC, 12V DC, USB-A and USB-C PD outputs. The 2kWh and 4kWh models list two AC ports, four DC ports and three USB ports.
For a destination-market order, confirm:
  • AC socket type and voltage
  • DC connector type and voltage
  • USB-A and USB-C availability
  • Simultaneous-use limitations
  • Label language and safety markings
  • Replacement cable and accessory availability
The specification should match the product photos and the physical sample.

5. Verify Charging Input for the Exact Model

Solar charging specifications should be checked by both voltage range and maximum permitted input.
The catalog lists 11-55V solar input with up to 300W for the ESS-500W-1000Wh and 11-55V with up to 550W for the ESS-1000W-2000Wh.
For the 4kWh model, use only the current approved project datasheet when confirming or publishing its PV input specification. Do not reuse a value from a different model or an outdated sales image.
Buyers should also verify connector type, polarity, recommended panel configuration and any current limit that applies.

6. Account for Dimensions and Weight

The catalog lists:

These figures affect more than portability. They influence inner packaging, master cartons, pallet planning, warehouse handling, shelf display and sample shipping.
Request the packed dimensions and gross weight separately if the catalog only shows the product dimensions and net weight.

7. Check Operating Conditions

The 1kWh catalog page lists an operating temperature range of -10°C to 50°C. If an operating-temperature field is absent for another model, do not assume it is identical.
For the target market, request the approved operating, storage and charging temperature ranges for the exact model. Also confirm whether humidity, altitude or ventilation requirements apply to the planned use.

8. Bind Documents to the Same Product

Before a bulk order, build one document packet for the exact model. Depending on the destination market and shipping method, the packet may include the current datasheet, user manual, labeling artwork, battery transport documents and applicable compliance reports.
The key is applicability. A document is useful only when its model identity, revision and intended market match the product being purchased. Do not publish a blanket certification claim merely because a similarly named document exists.

9. Inspect a Sample Against the Quotation

The physical sample should be checked against the approved specification and commercial documents.
Record at least:
  1. Model and serial labels
  1. Display and controls
  1. AC and DC socket configuration
  1. Charging connectors
  1. Supplied cables and accessories
  1. Dimensions and weight
  1. Carton marks and manual language
  1. Basic charging and output behavior under an agreed test plan
Any difference should be resolved in writing before mass production or shipment.

10. Send a Complete Requirement Brief

A useful request for quotation should include the destination market, target use cases, expected continuous loads, preferred capacity range, socket standard, charging configuration, labeling language, documentation requirements and forecast order quantity.
